Layers of the Vieux Carré
Layers of the Vieux Carré examines the relationship between cultural heritage and the built environment, exploring how architectural techniques, traditions, and influences carried from Europe, Africa, and the Caribbean evolved within New Orleans' French Quarter. Combining anthropological research with architectural observation, the project reveals how buildings serve not only as structures but as enduring records of human movement, exchange, and identity.
An Inspired Tree Trunk Chair

Drawing inspiration from the organic structure of tree trunks, this sculptural chair explores the relationship between the built environment and the natural world, questioning how design can preserve a sense of connection to landscapes that are increasingly experienced from within.
